Inactive Season in British Columbia
Nov 15, 2009-March 1, 2010
Scores made at any golf course observing an inactive season are not acceptable for handicap purposes. Scores made at a golf course in an area observing an active season must be posted for handicap purposes, even if the golf club from which the player receives a Handicap Factor is observing an inactive season.
Example: If a member of a golf club in British Columbia plays golf in California in January, the scores made in California are acceptable. These away scores can be posted once the active season begins in BC.

RCGA Preferred Lies (Winter Rules)
A ball lying through the green may be lifted without penalty and cleaned. Before lifting the ball, the player must mark its position. Having lifted the ball, it must be replaced on a spot within one club length and not nearer the hole than where it originally lay, that is not in a hazard and not on a putting green.
